Ordinary Miracles

Today, I managed to get an 11-month-old girl (who was teething), a 13-month-old girl, a 22-month-old boy (who was potty-training--day 3), a 3-1/2-year-old boy (who was also potty-training--day 596, but day 3 of renewed efforts), and a nearly-5-year-old boy into the van (2 booster seats and 3 carseats!), through the bank drive-through, to the recycling depot, into Tim Horton's for lunch (babies in the double stroller), walked over to the IGA to buy bread and milk, back into the van, and home in three hours. We went through five changes of pants and underwear for the potty-training boys, 3 muffins, 2 bowls of soup, 3 cookies, 2 cheese sandwiches, one chicken wrap, 2 bottles of water, six trips to the bathroom, and a few hugs and kisses. And we got a lot of funny looks.

But we survived. Life is good.
